Subspeciality Training

It is common for Emergency Physicians to develop special skills in a particular aspect of Emergency Medicine and its close relations. This may involve dual accreditation with
  • Paediatric Emergency Medicine
  • Intensive Care Medicine
or an interest in several disciplines that complement the speciality:
  • acute or observational medicine
  • prehospital care
  • telemedicine
  • sports medicine
  • medico-legal matters
  • forensic medicine
  • management
  • medical education
  • ultrasonography
  • echocardiography
  • toxicology
We intend to provide some guidance for trainees wishing to pursue any of these interests, and welcome contributions from trainees or trainers who have experience in these fields.
