The CEM E-portfolio is available for run through trainees, core specialty trainees (CT1-3), higher specialty trainees (ST4-6), and those in FTSTA and LAT posts to record and store key documents for progression through training. The E-portfolio is currently not available for specialist registrars on the pre-2007 training programme or non-trainees. The College is still in discussion with NES abut the process by which registrars in the Republic of Ireland can access the portfolio.
Access to the e-portfolio
Use of the E-portfolio depends on the trainee being allocated to a specific post and educational supervisor and a password is required. This password will be issued on return of the E-portfolio user details registration form downloadable below and completed in full. Trainees may already have been issued a user ID and password either as a Foundation trainee or by email in August. However trainees still need to complete this form so that the College can link the trainee to a post and educational supervisor.
All UK trainees must also enrol or register with the Training Standards Committee and pay the training fee. Further information is available in the Information for trainees document downloadable below.
This E-portfolio user details registration form must be completed annually so that the trainee’s posts can be updated on the system. The form must be signed by the trainee’s Educational Supervisor
Educational supervisors
Educational supervisors should complete the E-portfolio Educational Supervisor details form so that we can allow them access to view their trainee portfolio and complete the relevant end of placement forms.
